About MUSICAL THEATRE WORKS


MUSICAL THEATRE WORKS is a unique theatre academy and performance company for children and teens in grades K to 9th. Our exciting programs provide an opportunity for students to learn about and experience all aspects of musical theatre by working with professional directors, designers and instructors. MTW produces two full-scale Broadway musicals each year, offers two performance training classes, which include acting, voice and dance training for musical theatre, as well as four Summer Programs. 

 

MTW's theatre programs and classes are open to all levels of students. Our diverse population is made up of beginning students (with little or no experience in the performing arts) and students who have had previous stage experience. Our students come from 45 public, private and parochial schools throughout the Bay Area (San Francisco, Marin County and the Peninsula). Admission to MTW is based primarily on a student's sincere desire to participate in this performing arts academy. MTW also has a strong scholarship/financial assistance program, which helps assure that we attract students from all socio-economic levels. All classes, rehearsals and performances are held at the Randall Museum.

 

MTW is a nonprofit organization devoted to bringing real theatre experiences to young people through the infinite and exciting world of the Performing Arts.

Monthly payments and financial assistance are available. As of now we still have room in all sessions. For sessions ending at 3pm, aftercare is available until 5pm, 10/hr. Please call for more information.

My son and daughter participated in the Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance camp last summer. They learned so much in terms of performing and had a wonderful time. The director is incredible and cares deeply about the program and the campers. My son continues to take classes with MTW during the school year.

My daughter has been an actor in four of the main stage shows. She loves it! You can really see her confidence and her ability to work with a team grow. The staff is very professional and the shows are always a treat for my family. I would highly recommend all the MTW programs.
