About Saginaw Day Camp
Conveniently located in Oxford, PA and drawing from 80 years of experience, Saginaw Day Camp (SDC) provides a wide variety of exciting activities. These include a comprehensive athletics program, instructional and recreational swimming daily, an adventure course, ATVS, arts & crafts, Go-Karts and much, much more.
Our qualified staff members are excellent role models. Counselors are carefully screened, interviewed, and selected on the basis of skill, enthusiasm, and a sincere desire to work with children.
SDC offers a safe and healthy environment which encourages each individual child to discover and excel at new activities, develop life-long friendships, and promote self-confidence.
SDC offers programs for children ranging in age from 4 to 15. We pride ourselves in offering age appropriate activities and supervision to all of our campers. Our customary campers are ages six through thirteen, and they enjoy our traditional program, which includes instructional and free swim, athletics, two activity periods, and a 45 minute rest period daily. Our four and five year olds, 'The Little Indians', have an adjusted schedule which includes extra rest and age appropriate activities, as well as additional adult supervision. We also offer a Mini-Day Program for The Little Indians. Participants of this program will arrive at camp at 9:00 AM, enjoy a swim period, an activity period, lunch, rest period, and athletics before being picked up at 1:45 PM. Our Counselors-In-Training (CIT) program is a four-week program for 14 and 15 year old participants and they are engaged in a unique experience. The CIT's enjoy the fantastic activities that SDC has to offer in the morning. After lunch, they participate in educational and fun leadership and team-building programs. For the remainder of the day, they aid the counselors with the younger campers. Working with the counselors provides CIT's with the opportunity to see firsthand how their actions and decisions can impact the campers' summers.
