About San Francisco Skate Club Summer Skate Camp
What?: A two-week, Monday through Friday skateboard Summer Camp
*Tour and skate Bay Area skateparks
*Receive small group lessons with a sponsored skateboarder
*Meet a professional skateboarder
*Go home with a DVD of your summer experience
*Fun skate related activities
Where?: All over Northern CA and the Bay Area. We meet at the Thrive House for Youth at 1100 Broderick St. (at the corner of Broderick and Eddy) at 10:00am and leave from there to a skate park. We return to Thrive House before 3:00pm for other skateboarding related activities and to go over the day’s accomplishments.
Who?: All kids must be 8-13 years old and registered with San Francisco Skate Club. Fees must be paid, NASSA Insurance form signed, and Contact and Medical Information form completed and mailed to PMB#191 1388 Haight St, S.F., CA 94117 at least one week before the start of a selected session.
Cost?: Each two-week session is $700 along with an additional one-time insurance fee of $25 through the North American Surf and Skateboard Association (NASSA)
(Cost includes daily transportation to and from skate parks, lessons from a sponsored skateboarder, a “Meet and Greet” session with a Pro-skater, healthy snacks and water, prizes, and a take-home DVD of camp experience.)
San Francisco Skate Club strives to provide a safe, positive, and fun environment for youth of diverse backgrounds to pursue their passion or desire to skateboard, form friendships with other youth, and learn from experienced skateboarders who are role models. We believe in children’s creativity, their individuality, and their openness to learn new things. We nurture the ability to set goals and take risks in a safe environment. Above all else, we strive to ensure that everyone in our community feels accepted, respected, and appreciated.
