About Shu Ren International School
Mandarin Immersion Vacation and Summer Camps for children who are interested in learning Mandarin language skills and Chinese cultural knowledge through fun, immersion-based activities. No prior Mandarin skills needed.
Pre-K Camp: Ages 2 years and 6 months old to 4 years and 7 months (in June 2012). Must be potty trained. (Only our Summer Camp is open to Pre-K students; School Year Vacation Camps are only open to elementary students)
School-Age Camp: Incoming kindergarteners (turning five on or before November 1, 2012) to age 10.
Schedule/Activities: Students will learn Mandarin language by engaging in fun cultural activities including music, dance, crafts, and field trips to parks, museums, and so on.
Teachers: Shu Ren camps are taught by native Mandarin speakers who are on the full-time teaching staff at Shu Ren. The Pre-K summer camp will be taught by Ms. Ying Liang, one of Shu Ren’s head Pre-K classroom teachers. The School-Age Camp’s main teacher will be Ms. Patricia Pope (Qiao Sun), who is currently the head classroom teacher for Grades 2-4 at Shu Ren. They will be assisted by other Shu Ren teachers.
