About Vivace Music and Arts Camp


 

Summer Camp runs the week of August 6-10th, 2012, from 9a-1p daily.  On the last day of camp, Friday, the 10th, at 1pm, the singers will perform a short concert for their families.   

The mornings will begin with a welcome circle, followed by a Kodaly music theory session. After a break  we split the group for art and a musical rehearsal. Each day we’ll have a related activity to our theme.
Peggy Spool, our Artistic Director is the camp director. Our co-teacher is Jay Jordana, and they will be joined by Mary Jo Blazek, art teacher. We have three camp aides and usually approx. 30 singers.  It is a music-filled, creative week with the children.  

Camp is $200 per singer with a discount for siblings.  We will begin to accept applications for Summer
Camp in February.

My children have attended this camp every summer and my eldest has graduated to volunteering. What a wonderful week of musical theory and play it is.
