GOALS OF PROGRAM:
The 2-week program will be a combination of
academic Spanish classes and fun activities to teach Latin American
culture. A typical day would consist either of a morning Spanish
conversation class and an afternoon activity, or a full-day Field Trip.
We will provide continual exposure in a setting that will strengthen
Spanish skills and decrease inhibitions about speaking Spanish outside
of an academic context.
TEACHERS:
Victoria Huerta-Miller and Ashleigh Johnson, 4th/5th grade teachers
at MHS, will lead the program with a maximum of 20 student
participants. Both teachers are Spanish speakers to ensure that students
are able to practice in a comfortable and nurturing environment.
