About Art in the Summer - de Young Museum Art Camp
Join us each week for our five-day (Monday to Friday) museum art camp for children ages 5 to 14. Classes include explorations of the museum's galleries, adventures in Golden Gate Park, visual and performing art activities, and instruction by professional teaching artists. Full day classes are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Open Studio from 3 to 5:30 p.m. is optional. Campers may enroll in one to eight weeks between June 18 and August 10. Weekly themes include Mixed-Media Madness, Drawn to Drawing, Totally Totems, The Power of Painting, and The Artist's Archive: Making a Portfolio of Work. Discounts for Early Bird enrollmnet, FAMSF members, and multiple children from the same family.
Dates: June 18th, 2012 - August 10th, 2012, campers may sign up for 1 to 8 weeks of camp
Hours: 9:00am - 3:00pm, with optional Open Studio from 3:00-5:30pm
Ages: We welcome campers ages 5 - 12 every week and NEW THIS YEAR: 4 weeks of advanced classes for campers ages 12 - 14!
Lunch: Campers must bring their own lunch.
Fees: $345 per week/non members; $315 per week/members, Early Bird Discount: enroll by April 15th
