YPTW offers summer camps for students at all  experience levels. YPTW's summer day camp is designed for beginning and intermediate students who want to work on their theatre skills in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Offered weekday mornings during the month of July at the air-conditioned Players Club of Swarthmore, our day camp is filled with acting, improvs, singing, dancing and more.

Our Overnight Camp at Eastern University began when more and more students expressed a desire to immerse themselves in theatre 24/7. For 5 days we would live and breathe theatre. It was an "overnight" sensation for beginning, intermediate and advanced students! A decade and a half later finds the camp as exhilarating as ever.

YPTW Camp was an experience I will never forget. I went there for seven years, from the time I was 11 until I was 18. The counselors at YPTW are devoted to making sure every camper gets individualized attention, but there is a definite aspect of community and family. Though the camp only lasts for one week, that week is a fun-filled theatrical learning experience. Morning classes consist of acting, singing, and dancing classes. These classes are tailored to the experience levels of the campers in them, and also to the expertise of each counselor. After lunch, each camper gets to take two electives. These allow every camper to get exactly what they want out of camp, be it Musical Comedy, training in Shakespeare, or even writing a short musical! Each night there is a special activity, which can range from a headshot workshop to training in stage combat to a visit from a professional actor. No matter what night it is, there is something exciting going on. I, for one, met some of my best friends at YPTW Camp, and would absolutely recommend it to anyone who loves theatre!
