About The Franklin Institute’s Discovery Camp

Discovery Camp at The Franklin Institute is being offered in two locations this year - at the Museum in Philadelphia or at Valley Forge National Historical Park in King of Prussia, PA.

Each day of Discovery Camp at The Franklin Institute includes hands-on science activities, a snack and break for lunch, outdoor play (weather permitting) and museum exploration. Depending on the sessions, campers may also have the opportunity to take field trips, hear from invited guest speakers, see theater shows and educational films, and take part in large-scale, camp wide projects.

Discovery Camp at Valley Forge National Historical Park will explore the rich history and natural science of Valley Forge. We will utilize the park's wide range of natural and cultural resources to provide a new depth of science learning. Children will be outdoors for a good part of each day, hiking, observing and discovering all Valley Forge has to offer! Curriculum will be a collaboration between the National Parks Service's "Junior Ranger" program and Discovery Camp at The Franklin Institute favorites.
