Come spend the summer where science is messy and learning is a blast! This summer join the youngsters taking part in The Franklin Institute’s award-winning Discovery Camp, where topics like earth science, chemistry, archeology, biology, anatomy, and physics come alive through a variety of hands-on activities.
Campers may register for any number of camp sessions. The seven themes are independent of one another, so campers need not attend sessions consecutively. Each session includes a combination of workshops, field trips, guest presenters, spirit activities, and exhibit exploration, plus at least one theater feature. New this summer are two, single week half-day sessions for 3- and 4-year-olds.
Groups are divided by age with a 7-to-1 ratio of campers to experienced counselors-- teachers and college students, assisted by CITs and interns. Camp hours are from 9 am to 4 pm, with an optional early arrival beginning at 8 am and late departure until 5:30 pm for an additional fee. Pre-K half-day camp option runs 9 am-12 pm.
