About Teen Writers Academy
The Teen Writers Academy is open to teens ages 13 to 17 who enjoy writing and want to improve their creative writing skills. The acclaimed program has been successfully encouraging young writers in the Philly area since 2004. The program offers a supportive, relaxed, yet structured creative environment whereparticipants can discover their writing voices in poetry, fiction, first-person narrative, playwriting, and non-fiction essay. The Teen Writers Academy is ideal for teens currently participating in pre-college academics. Enrollment requires an interview and a writing sample. Two 10-day summer sessions of theTeen Writers Academy are offered in July and August.
