About Youth Tennis Advantage
Youth Tennis Advantage (YTA) is an after school program dedicated in serving youth in inner city communities through a comprehensive program of tennis and academic tutoring that promotes the physical, educational, and life-skills necessary to prepare and empower them for leadership in their communities and success in their personal lives. YTA has four after school sites located throughout the Bay Area. One in San Francisco's John McLaren Park and three in the Eastbay-Mosswood Park, Laney College, and BearTrax at UC Berkeley. The after school program runs from 4pm – 6pm, Monday thru Friday. Youth may split their time between fun tennis activities with skilled tennis coaches and academic assistance with experienced instructors.
YTA's summer program will run from June 28th - August 20th, Monday thru Friday from 4pm - 6pm.
Starting Summer 2010, YTA will be charging an annual Scholar Athlete membership fee of $24.95 which includes a membership card, t-shirt, and be eligible for free year around tennis instruction, academic assistance, life skills activities, and college pathway resources.
