About Urban Color
Art Camp Urban Color of San Francisco provides a fun and safe environment for children and adults to explore and learn about their own creativity. Our motto is “Anything and everything you create and make is ART!” Urban Color strives to accommodate students at all levels while at the same time challenging them to their fullest creative abilities. We don’t do color crayons here! Every art piece is on canvas with real paint and brushes. Along with a fantastic painting and drawing curriculum we offer sewing, jewelry making, clay structure, collage, digital arts, furniture painting and many more creative and artistic pursuits.
Kendra and Johnston Lock founded Urban Color in 2000 by providing a gallery space and art center in the Marina district for local artists to showcase their artwork and a space for artists to provide art instruction to the public. The Urban Color Art Studio now calls the Inner Richmond its new home where “art happens!” With a combined 25 years of art instruction, Urban Color is proud to offer unique and challenging classes to local children, adults and families.
